Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Winter 2006: “A simple silhouette makes the most of a fiery hand-dyed and textured yarn in Kendra Cray’s breezy cardigan. Tapered fronts hang open to accent the swingy flared hem, and the rounded asymmetrical collar closes with a single button. Although the cardigan has the pared down appeal of a Chanel jacket, the vibrant yarn and the unusual collar detail put it in a class all of its own.”

Finished Size: 34 (37½, 42½, 46, 50, 53½)” bust circumference.

Yarn: Colinette Prism (70% wool, 30% cotton; 125 yd 114 m/100 g): #71 fire, 4 (5, 5, 6, 7, 7) skeins. Yarn distributed by Unique Kolours.

Needles:

  • Body, sleeves, and collar - size 10½ (6.5 mm).
  • Ribbing - size 11 (8 mm).
  • Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: One 7/8” button; tapestry needle; sewing needle and thread.

Note from Interweave Knits, Winter 2006: “Slip stitches as if to purl (pwise).”
