Meet Jay! He’s a sweet little bird… that doesn’t have to be blue! He’s 6” tall when completed.

To complete your own birdie, you’ll need:

  • 90 yards of worsted weight yarn (Sample shown in Ella Rae Classic): blue (85 yds) & orange (5 yds).
  • A size H (5.0mm) crochet hook (or size required for a nice-looking fabric)
  • A tapestry needle
  • 12mm black animal eyes
  • Polyester stuffing

Can you single crochet? Then you can make this guy! Skills required:

  • single crochet
  • increasing
  • decreasing

As always, this pattern is a pdf that includes progress photos… so you won’t get lost!

Want to make a bigger bird? No worries! Just use a bulky yarn and a larger hook!

Note: This adorable birdie is a fabulous project for beginners! It’s also part of Stacey’s Amigurumi Woodlands class, so she’ll take you step-by-step through everything you need to complete this adorable stuffed animal!
