These gloves were inspired by my friend’s daughter’s love of Minecraft. Since they’re fingerless, she can wear them while she plays.

I knit these wristers with a Fair Isle technique. The tubular cast-on and cast-off were a learning exercise, but I really like the stretchiness and polished look they provide. I used Madelintosh’s Tosh Merino Light in “dirty panther” and “leaf.” Gauge using size 0 DPNs was 10 sts/in and 10 rows/in in the Fair Isle pattern.

The top circumference was 8 in, and the length was 7 in. If you need to make a smaller size, I’d try removing some of the black stitches on the side, between the front and back. There should be plenty of wiggle room there.
