Inspired by Mr. Man’s Uncle Jess Willard 1, who turned 100, recently. Uncle Jess spent his life as a Logger, so it seemed fitting to design a hat featuring trees, for him.

Size:
OSFM. Tween/Teen/Adult 16” to 24”

Type:
Stranded Colorwork, “Skateboarder” style. Simple chart and written instructions.

Stitches used:
Knit
Knit 2 Together
Purl

Materials Needed:
U.S. Size 3 16” circulars
U.S. Size 6 20” circulars (You can use 16” circulars, but the stitches will get a little crowded)
U.S. Size 6 Double Pointed Needles

Approximately 180 yards of Main Color and 68 yards of Contrasting Color.
DROPS Karisma Superwash.
As shown: Colors 01 (Off White) 2 skeins, and 47 (Forest Green) 1 skein.

Berocco Vintage DK will work, nicely, too. One skein of Main Color and one of Contrasting Color would make the hat, with yarn to spare. Quite possibly two, if you reverse the Main Color an Contrasting Color for the second one.

Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends.

A big thank you to my test knitters meelissa, and Spiraling.
