Needles: US#7/4.5 mm 16”/40 cm ( 32”/80 cm, 16”/40 cm) circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 18 sts/26 rounds = 4”/10 cm in lace pattern after blocking using Studio Worsted. Please note that small cowl shown using Lakes Yarn and Fiber Merino Silk Worsted gauge is 14 sts/26 rounds = 4”. Though CO is identical for the small and tall cowls, variation in gauge accounts for the difference in circumference.

Notions: 12 (23, 12) stitch markers, one in a different color to indicate the beginning of the round and a tapestry needle.
