The Jiminy Shawl is a semicircular shawl, knit from the top down with two colors of DK weight yarn.

It is a warm shawl with a smooth drape and is fast to make thanks to being made wholly out of knit stitches and slip stitches -there’s not a single purl stitch in the entire shawl!

Knit on 5 mm / US 8 needles it is a fast shawl to make and there are no difficult color changes to follow - the two color patterned stitch sections of the shawl are made by slipping stitches and only one color of yarn is used at a time when making the shawl.

The perfect pattern to mix and match skeins that you’ve had in your stash for a long time or to treat yourself to new yarn in your favorite colors. Approximately 100g / 3.52 oz (200m / 218 yards) of each color of yarn is needed

The shawl is ideal for both confident beginners through to more advanced knitters.

The pattern includes a check list for each section to check your stitch count and mark each row as finished.

The name of the shawl comes from colors of yarn used; grey and yellow or “grellow”. The words for grey and yellow in Spanish are gris and amarillo, and the contraction of these words, “grillo” means cricket. So this shawl is named after Jiminy Cricket, the most famous cricket in the world!
