This crochet pattern is for an adorable cryptid jackalope, all dolled up for the festive season. An original pattern by Fat Lady Crochet. Please note this is a crochet pattern, not the finished physical item.

This easy (but not beginner) crochet pattern is written in US terms and is designed for crocheters with a solid understanding of simple crochet, and who don’t mind a little bit of sewing. Lots of photos are included to help you along the way.

You will need:
• 40 grams each size 4 worsted weight yarn in light green, brown
• 30 grams each size 4 worsted weight yarn in black, white, dark green, beige, red
• Scrap amount of pink yarn for nose
• Size 4.00 mm G hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• Fiber Fill
• Stitch marker
• 2 x 1/2 inch black buttons ONLY if piece is intended for people over 3 years of age
• 2 x jingle bells ONLY if piece is intended for people over 3 years of age

Notes
• Jackalope’s body/head is worked in one piece.
• Piece is worked in continuous rounds from the bottom up; do not join unless instructed to do so.
• Jackalope’s legs, arms, ears and antlers are worked separately and then sewn on.
• Jackalope is roughly 9 inches tall.
