The Jinkies Beanie was named by my daughter who said the coloration reminded her of a certain cartoon’s van. Even if you don’t have mysteries to solve, or a talking canine, this quick knit beanie will be sure to please.

Available in 3 sizes from child (S) to adult (L), the Jinkies Beanie can be knit with a single ball of Katia Wow! Chunky, or with two colors for fun striping action.

You’ll want a 16” US 13 needle (or size needed for gauge) and a set of DPN (double point needles) as the circumference gets smaller. The pattern ends with grafting the final stitches together, but you could substitute a three-needle bind-off instead. (I don’t recommend drawing through the final stitches to close the hat, because the yarn may break under that strain.)
