The Jo Shawl is one of a series of four shawls each based on one of the four main characters in the story Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. The colours of the shawls are based on the little books that each girl receives for Christmas at the start of the second chapter of the book.

You can make this shawl larger or smaller by adding more or less repeats.

You will need 2 skeins of yarn. I used 2 skeins of Cascade 220 Heathers in the Provence colour.

Gauge and tension are not important for this project.

US conversions are included within this pattern.

This pattern is ideal for a beginner as it only uses one stitch and is worked back and forth in a repeating fashion. It also works up quickly due to the type of yarn used.

The shawls for the other characters from the story are called the Beth Shawl, Meg Shawl and Jo Shawl. These are or will be available soon.
