Does your life feel like an endless wait for the next season of Sherlock? Is it hurting your feels? Warm your hands and calm your heart with a nice pair of mittens, celebrating our favourite consulting detective and his devoted blogger.

Sizes: Medium and Large
Width: 10 cm/4” 11 cm/4.3”
Length: 25 cm/10” 27 cm/10.6”
Gauge: 35 st x 35 rows = 4” (blocked)
Yarn: Filcolana Arwetta Classic Pale Yellow 196 and Cocoa Brown 975. Slightly more than half a skein of each.

I knit my mittens using the magic loop method, but DPNs works as well, or a short circular needle if that is what you prefer.

Please make sure not to leave too long floats at the back of your work. I usually twist the yarn every 3 stitches.

Oh, and if you publish pictures of your mittens on any social platforms it would be really cool if you use the hashtag #johnlockmittens. But only if you want to, of course.
