This pattern is one 27 patterns from The Vintage Shetland Project and is not available as a single pattern. The price shown is for the book in its entirety. I do not intend to release the patterns individually.

Yarn

Susan Crawford Fenella 2 ply, 100% British wool (124m/135yds per 25g skein)
6 (8, 10, 11, 13, 15) skeins - shade Porcellana

Gauge
33 sts and 36 rows = 10cm (4in) over lace pattern knitted in the round, after blocking. We obtained this gauge using 3mm needles.

Pattern Notes
This dainty top is knitted in the round commencing at the bottom edge until the armhole divide, at this point the front and back are knitted separately with additional stitches cast on to form the sleeves. There is a back opening at centre back incorporated into the lace pattern and the shoulders are joined by either grafting in pattern or using a three needle bind off. A picot edging is added to the neckline and sleeve edges to finish. The pattern includes charts of the lace pattern in combination with written instructions.

The size shown in the photographs is the first size worn with 4cm (1.5in) of positive ease. It is suggested that you choose a size with approximately 9-18cm (3.5-7in) of positive ease at the chest.
