This is the perfect boyfriend (or husband, grandpa, extramarital lover) scarf – no girly stitches here! We’ve all spent hours working on projects for the special males in our life only to get a quizzical look in response which seems to say, “you expect me to wear a insert one or more: lacy, bobble, shell stitch, pink scarf?” Alas, fret no more! This textured scarf was designed with extra special input from a genuinely macho representative of the less fair sex.

This pattern is appropriate for intermediate and possibly advanced beginners, depending on your comfort level. All stitches are based on sc and dc, but used in non-basic ways such as sc3tog (single crochet 3 together) and FPdc (front-post double crochet). Expanations are clear and pictures/graphics are given for additional clarity. Pattern-tested on Ravelry!

Scarf is approximately 7.5 inches wide with suggested yarn and hook. Directions for changing width and customizing length are included.

At last, a border with clear directions and photos are provided to help space border stitches evenly.
