This elegant Glacier Shawl is inspired by spectacular Franz Josef Glacier when we visited couple years ago in New Zealand.

The classic triangle shaped shawl is knitted using 100% vintage white cotton. The simple flowing chevron style lacework and stockinette/gartered stitches panel represent the stunning steep gigantic glacier stand along the beautiful river valley, while the popcorn stitches are the falling snow softly landed on the top of glaciers.

The long fringes can be added as a final touch for an elegant look.

You can wear it by wrapping it around shoulder/head, folder in the front, back or sideway to achieve various unique styles.

This stylish classic shawl is an ideal project for beginner lacework knitters to make a quick simple accessory or a gift for the colder months.
