This pattern will let you make a Joseph ornament or decoration for a wall display or to add to your tree. (There are no breakable parts for young hands to break).

Joseph holds his walking stick and an oil lamp to see this new baby who he will keep safe.

This pattern is made using U.S. crochet abbreviations and would be good for an intermediate crocheter.

The crochet stitches include, sc, hdc, dc, tr and sl st. The pattern includes description of abbreviations and complete instructions with picture tutorials.

Materials: bedspread weight cotton threads (size 10)
11 yards peach (or choice of skin color)
58 yard Golden Yellow (or choice of flame and Joseph’s garment color)
90 yards Russet (or choice of Joseph’s cloak color)
3 yards metallic gold (or choice of halo color)
15 yards Blue Hawaii (or choice of Joseph’s garment contrasting color)
18 yards Copper Mist (or choice of Joseph’s lamp and staff color)
2 skeins of black embroidery floss (or choice of Joseph’s hair, beard and eye color)
Small amount red (or choice of mouth color) Could also use embroidery floss
Small amount of polyester fiberfill.
Tapestry needle
2 Pipe Cleaners for Joseph’s Walking staff.
Steel Crochet hook size 7 (1.65mm)
Washable fabric glue.

Finished Size: 5 ½ inches (14cm) wide and 8 ¾ inches (22.25cm) long.
