Josephine is inspired by the distinctive tubular silhouettes of the 1920s, with a simple one-piece, in-the-round construction. Subtle waist shaping gives an elegant fit, and the combination of yoke and raglan shaping in the upper body creates a wide flattering neckline. Much of the fashion of the 1920s involved simple shapes with embellishments at key focal points. Josephine echoes this style with a deep lace band at the hem and cuffs, while beaded garter ridges add an extra touch of glamour. The yarn is a wool-silk blend which is perfect for this sweater style, as it allows the fabric to drape well while still keeping its shape.
