Jovial is a playful, light-weight shawl. The shawl is worked in three colors, each with its own stitch pattern, adding another layer to the color blocks and stripes. It can be as bold or as subtle as you wish – a band of merry and bright colors or a combination of soft and mellow ones.


Materials
• Yarn: 5 skeins of The Fibre Co Canopy fingering (50% alpaca, 30% wool, 20% viscose; 183 m / 200 yds per 50 g) in 3 colors; 3 skeins of C1 and 1 skein of C2 and C3
or approx. 630 m / 690 yds of fingering weight yarn; 450 m / 490 yds in C1, 100 m / 110 yds in C2 and 80 m / 90 yds in C3
• Needles: 3.5 mm / US 4 80 cm / 32” circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge
• 2 stitch markers

The sample was knit using The Fibre Co Canopy fingering in Love in a Mist (C1), Bluestars (C2) and Lantana (C3).
