This is a very basic set and great for charity and also great for beginners. The hat is very stretchy and the garter is easy to do on flat needles or your favorite circular method. The brim makes it very warm and the garter stitch makes it very comfy. The booties are actually very quick to make. Each one takes about 45 minutes. Seaming garter ridge is super easy.

If the hospital doesn’t accept ties, you can make it into a rib cuff to make sure they stay on.
