The Judith Top is a cowl neck top with i-cord spaghetti straps. Judy’s magic cast on makes the edges soft and gives the neckline a good amount of weight and drape with stockinette on both sides.
Knit in silk, it is the perfect top for a bit of everyday glamour.

Difficulty: ★★★☆☆

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL*

Width: 80 (90) 99 (108) 117 cm.
The width is measured around the bust and should include a negative ease of 5 to 10%. This means that if you measure 98 cm around your bust, the recommended size is S, which has a width of 90 cm, as this will give you a negative ease of around 8%.
Please note that the actual bust width will be a bit wider than this because of the neckline.

Suggested Yarn:
150 (150) 200 (200) 250 g Pure Silk from Knitting for Olive (250m/50g.)

Gauge: 28 sts x 40 rows in stockinette on needles 3 mm, or whichever needed to obtain gauge = 10 cm x 10 cm.

Recommended Needles: 4 x 3 mm circular needles (80 or 100 cm) and 3 mm double pointed needles.

Additional Materials: Thin elastic and a needle.

If you are unfamiliar with Judy’s Magic Cast On, I recommend this video by The Chilly Dog (English) or this video by Kimmie Munkholm (Danish).

Please note that sizes M and XL have not been tested yet, but as the other sizes did not need any modifications during testing, I’ve decided to include them in the pattern. Anyone interested in testing them is still more than welcome to get in touch.
