These little round birdies love bouncing around … you could even make three and juggle with them! The pattern includes a nest and some eggs too. You can choose any colour combinations to knit your birdies; try red and brown to knit a festive robin.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the birds are knitted in aran yarns (worsted weight) on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the feet are i-cord worked on two DPNs.

NEEDLES
A pair each of 4mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 6)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran for the birds and eggs, and Rowan Felted Tweed Aran for the nest
.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, a stitch holder, plus beads and felt fabric scraps for the eyes and beak.

SIZES
One size only - The bird is 8cm high x 8cm wide x 7cm deep. The nest is 10cm diameter x 2cm high, and the eggs are 4cm high x 3cm wide.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
