This textured hat in beret style is crocheted entirely in slip stitches. The shaping is done with short rows. The star shape at the crown is achieved by using different slip stitch patterns.

The pattern includes two types of written instructions: once row by row and once by short row sections. The hat is worked sideways. There are step-by-step picture tutorials for short rows and for an invisible seam.
You can also work the hat with more than one colour (as the black/ grey one in the photos).
