We’ve enjoyed a cool entrance to July here in Indiana, so I thought it time to create a crochet pattern for a small shawl to wrap around my neck. I’ve seen so many people wearing their virus shawls in front that I thought I had to give it a try!

The July Scarf is worked in a soft DK yarn to give it a lightweight feel and a lovely drape. You’ll create the main portion of the scarf with a mesh stitch that stretches and lays nicely. The border adds a lovely Victorian feel to the scarf with its wide shells and evenly-spaced picots.

This crochet scarf pattern is worked first from the bottom up, then around the edges to create the beautiful, wide border. Give the July Scarf a try; it’s a must have to dress up any nice summer outfit, and it’ll carry into your fall wardrobe as well!
