White pique collar and cuffs trim this short-sleeved jumper, which was knitted in a lovely shade of golden brown. It is an ideal woollie for holidays and summer wear—for even though we don’t like to have depressing thoughts, dull days just will come now and then!

For the jumper you’ll need 8oz. of 4-ply Scotch fingering in golden brown, a No. 9 tricot [Tunisian] crochet hook, a white pique collar, and ¾-yard of white pique cuff trimming.

When it is finished, the jumper should measure in length from the shoulder at the armhole edge, 18 inches: the width all round under the arms should be 35 inches: and the length of the sleeve seam, 7 inches.

Your measurements will coincide with these if you work at a tension producing 5 stitches to 1 inch in width and 9 rows to 2 inches in depth.
