This gorgeous free newborn size pullover features a sprinkling of starlight around the neckline to bring a pop of colour to your newborn child’s wardrobe.

It is designed to give the impression of a random scattering of stars and the contrasting yoke works well with both solid, variegated and gradient yarns.

Sizing
To fit an actual chest measurement of:
38-41cm/15-16” chest size, approximately 0-3mths

This jersey has approximately 2-3cm/0.75-1.1” of positive ease built into it so it can easily fit over other layers. It is also designed to be long in the body to keep little tummies warm.

Gauge
Knit in stranded colourwork, 22 stitches by 30 rows over 10cm/4” in stocking stitch.

Yarn requirements
Any 8ply/DK weight yarn that you can achieve gauge with. Amounts stated below are measured using a 113m per 50gm ball.

Main colour: 120gm/ 105m
Contrast Colour: 35gm/ 75m

Needles and notions

  • 3.5mm 40cm/16”, 80cm/32” circular needles
  • 4mm 40cm/16”, 80cm/32” circular needles (or a size required to obtain gauge, plus one 2 sizes smaller)
