The knitting pattern provides full instructions for 5 sizes XS (1-2 lbs), S (2-3 lbs), M (3-4 lbs) L (4-5 lbs) and XL (5-6 lbs) so even the very tiniest of babies can now have a hat and booties that actually fit perfectly.
The knitting pattern has full instructions with lots of photos to knit the beanie flat on 2 normal 3.00 mm knitting needles or in the round on circular needles.
The booties are worked flat on 2.25 mm needles.
They are called bumper booties because the edging reminds me of bumper (dodgem) cars at the funfair.
