This wonderful shawl started off as a project to use up two ball’s of Rowan Kidsilk Haze that I found in my chest of wool… so I thought I’d give it a go and try and use them up!… they lasted a lot longer than I thought and produced a much bigger and much walmer shawl than I imagined.

I really enjoyed knitting this shawl and really enjoy wearing it… the stitch definition is fantastic, and the cable down the middle adds texture and beauty.

The increases are undertaken every other row (on the knit row) and so the shawl grows in a triangle shape. I knitted the shawl on a long circular needle and this made it much much easier to keep track of the shape of the shawl and it also makes for easy handbang transportation!!
