This hat strikes a great balance between being stylish, fast and easy to knit and requiring just a little yarn. It is not too snug and not overly slouchy, it will keep your ears warm and your hair looking nice, and it’s light and pocketable. The crown decreases are incorporated into the stitch pattern and form a cute star. All in all, just right! (And great for gifting, too!)

SIZE
One size fits most adults (53-60 cm/21-24 inches head circumference). For a smaller or bigger size, use lighter or heavier yarn and adjust needle size.

YARN
100 g of dk or light worsted weight yarn.

The sample was knit with 66 g of Yuzawaya World Festa Pure Merino (100% merino wool; 80 m/87 yd per 40 g/1.41 ounces).

NEEDLES
3.25 mm (US 3) and 4.0 mm (US 6) circular needles or DPNs.

GAUGE
22 sts x 31 Rnds per 10 cm (4”) in stockinette st.
