Kaiju ‎(怪獣 kaijū?) (from Middle Chinese): Strange Beast

This sweet little shawl is inspired of the blue face iguana. At the neck, the large eyelets mimic the large round scales found on the iguana’s face. Those eyelets give away to smaller ones and the finally the shawl ends with a sideways lace that reminds me of the spine along their backs.

Kaiju Attack is a small shawl with suggestion on how to up-size your Shawl from iguana to Godzilla. Designed to be worked in a transitioning yarn, this shawl also looks good in a self-striping yarn. This pattern is 4 full color pages long.

Released as part of the Tripping Yarn Balls ‘Creatures Great & Small’ Yarn & Pattern Club 2015.
