My granddaughter, Poppy, loves bags and she loves kittens. This design covers both.

The bag can be used to carry Kala around and then the sides are rolled down to create a lovely cosy bed. Kala measures 10 inches/26cm from head to toe. The feet, legs and body are knitted in one piece, flat and seamed at assembly. The head, arms, ears and tail are knitted separately and attached. I have included a detailed step-by-step assembly guide to help you create a perfect kitten. It is a good idea to just print the directions for the kitten and basket, view the assembly guide on screen to save your printer’s ink and paper.

For the bag you will need to use long straight knitting needles or it maybe a good idea to use a circular needle knitting back and forth.
