Kalajoki
New French translation is now available. Thank you Ranuk!
Please note: Some knitters had problems with English pattern: first page was empty, second ok. Now a new English pdf is available, hopefully it will help! Thank you quiltnut
Also English translation is now available.
I want to thank akimbo and bridgmanpottery for their help. I wouldn’t manage without them.
Kalajoki socks reflect the Kalajoki river which winds its way through Finland and empties into the Baltic Sea. Like the river, these socks feature a twisted rib pattern that undulates down the foot.
The mirrored socks are knit with 4 needles and feature a French heel and anatomical toe. Don’t worry if the socks look very strange and wrinkled until you pull them on, when the pattern pops out.
In Finnish / Suomeksi:
Kalajoki –sukissa kierretystä joustinneuleesta muodostuva joki kiemurtelee jalan ulkosyrjällä. Sukat ovat keskenään peilikuvat. Sukassa on ranskalainen kantapää ja kärjessä toispuoleinen nauhakavennus.
Tämä on ensimmäinen ohjeeni, joten olettehan ymmärtäväisiä ja kerrottehan mahdollisista kummalisuuksista/löytämistänne virheistä, kiitos!
