This hat is named after Kale, not the leafy green but one of Jupiter’s moons, pronounced KAY-lee. Kale is one of the Charites from Greek mythology and one of Zeus’s (many) daughters. Some myths also have her married to Hephaestus. This hat is reversible; I think the rib looks interesting on both sides. There is the option to do a contrasting cast on and button tab, plus two different gauges and you can go for just a ribbed brim or rib the whole thing!

This hat is worked from the bottom up in the round. The button tab is worked separately once the hat is completed and sewn on. Both written and charted instructions are included for the rib pattern and rib decrease section.

To fit head circumference: S (17/43 to 19/48.5) [M (19/48.5 to 21/53.5), L (21 +/53.5 +)] inches/cm.
Both versions shown in M, modeled on a 21 inch/53.5cm head.
