Create dramatic hats alternating between variegated and solid yarn. The colors and textures are rich, and yet, they couldn’t be any simpler.

Mosaic knitting is the simplest form of color works. It’s simply carrying one yarn per round while the other yarn waits at the beginning of the round. Stitches are slipped throughout to create the spectrum of color. It just that simple! When variegated yarn is used, it creates a complex appearing pattern.
