Learning to knit is not easy. This basic shawl was developed to help beginners build their skills in the following areas;
Colorwork - it is a good pattern for one’s first foray into stripes
Working from the top down
Working increases to the left and to the right
Using color to create texture
Using yarn overs to create visual interest
Wet blocking

Choosing colors can be a difficult process for any fiber artists. Classic Shades and Superwash Worsted from Universal Yarns were chosen for this project because they are easily coordinated with each other and wash beautifully for you to enjoy season after season.
