I designed this to be a companion piece to Yumiko Sakurai’s Kanoko Baby Pants. I loved the pants and wanted to make it for a newborn but I also wanted to gift an outfit and not just a pair of pants. I only wrote up the pattern for newborn - 3 month old size, but you can size up to 3-6 months by increasing the needles size to 7 and the yarn weight to category 4 (Aran) and increasing the body length and sleeves accordingly. This cardigan is knitted from top down flat and the sleeves are knitted in the round.
