Many of my awesome Jungle fans know, I have a little sister that I absolutely think hung the moon. From the day she was born, (I was 12 already!), she has been my light, my world, and my hopes and dreams for her have no end. Then, she grew up, and from teen years forward, depression was a struggle. Unfortunately, she has made more than one attempt on ending her own life, ending her story way before it is time. For those that do not know, the “semi-colon” stands for the continuation of a sentence. It indicates to you that there is more to come for the story, to be continued if you will.

Since that Bundle of joy joined our family we have called her our “Kara-Bear” so of course she has a great love for them. I am sharing this here to encourage all who may need it; maybe make a potholder, or hat, or you anything you can dream up for the “Kara-Bear” in your own life. This graph was discovered on pinterest, and only edited slightly to incorporate the semi colon on the tummy so that is special just for my Kara. Please enjoy the attached pattern and please be sure to upload your projects to Ravelry. I would LOVE to hear your personal stories in the comments section. I am sure MANY of you have encouraging words for Kara that may be a WONDERFUL place of support for her to go to when she is down. Please enjoy the pattern, and if you would like to help us with the “Semi - Colon Blanket Project” so that we can send Kara semi colons from around the word to wrap herself in some serious “hooker love” then please join us on FaceBook at: The Semi-Colon Blanket Project.
