This square works up to 12” if done in worsted weight yarn and 9 1/2” if done in DK. Its size can be easily modified by adding rows to the outside.

The instructions look long but there is considerable explanation of the cluster stitches that make up the flower.

The pattern can be made in one colour, or colours can be changed.

The pattern has been edited for changes - version 4 now available (change is to trc round, it will still work with the original version).
