Questo scialle è stato realizzato ispirandosi alla forma del Katar, antica arma bianca di origine del subcontinente indiano. Originariamente costituita da una lama a punta ed una impugnatura che ne consentiva un uso a pugno, andando a potenziare l’attacco nei combattimenti a pugnale. Successivamente si è evoluta, e nell’impugnatura è stato inserito un meccanismo a pressione che faceva dividere la lama in due o tre punte, andando così ad aumentare ulteriormente il colpo inferto.

Ferri: circolari da 120 cm (o diritti) diametro 10 mm
Filato: 500 gr di filato Zoe di Borgo de Pazzi
Note: Il pattern si basa sull’utilizzo dei marcapunt1, ovviamente servono dei marcapunti con una dimensione tale da poter essere utilizzati con un ferro 10. Servono 8 marcapunti.


This shawl it’s inspired by the shape of the Katar, an ancient weapon from the indian subcontinent. It consisted in a pointed blade with an handle, it was used as a hand arm. Later the katar evolved into a more dangerous and lethal arm, with an internal mechanism which divided the blade into 2 or 3 pointed blades.

Knitting needles: 120 cm circular, or straight, 10 mm
Yarn: Zoe by Borgo De Pazzi - Firenze
Notes: 8 stitch marks needed, big enough for a 10 mm needles.
