Katerina is a crescent shaped shawl, my favorite shape because it’s so versatile. I’ve been wanting to design a pattern (or two or…) using gradient yarns, many of which are fingering weight.

Looking for a new stitch? Me too! Always on the lookout for something new to incorporate into my designs, the wrapped stitch adds a lovely texture to the fabric.

Multiple sizing options using two edging choices.
Beads? Well, of course! My motto:

Beaded stitches are always optional…. but who doesn’t need a little bling in their lives?

If you are wanting to use June Pryce’s wonderful gradients, you can request an extra skein or two which will make the longer edging option. She will gladly customize her gradient sets for you.

Charts only for now with a photo tutorial for the wrapped stitches. Written row by row instructions are coming shortly in an update. I keep getting sidetracked by all these designs that want out of my head!
Update sent out 3/16 including:
ERRATA: Small correction on Chart Five for Longer Border, Row 3, stitch#54 should be an skp stitch.
Also: Chart Five, Row 13, the kfb stitches in this row should be a knit stitch.
