Another name for this style shawl is a SONTAG.
I have had several people talk about a shawl of this construction. I have the show taped, so I will watch it and see exactly how it is constructed.
Last year I fiddled with a design that had this construction and used hand painted yarn in a dk weight. It came out TOO pointy, but was very lovely and will be perfect for this shawl.

It is a great no-brainer knit.
I know that the garter ridges do not go the same way as the one in the movie, but that doesn’t bother me. I will use this one when I go for my spinning demonstrations and have to dress up.

I LOVE it! It just hugs your body so warmly! Very Comfortable!
ERRATA: On earlier copies. Repeat Rows 4 through 7, 28 times…..Fixed now.
