My sister Kelley asked me to create a tote bag for her to take to work. She needed a tote bag to be large enough to carry 8.5″ x 11″ items – this is the satchel I designed for her to use :)

The finished height of the satchel is 14” and I must admit I did not remember to measure the width prior to gifting the satchel to my sister - although I know it fits items of a width of 8.5” as I had three of my LA Stitch books in there to test out the strap and closure ;)

I think it is approximately 9.5” wide.
