Kerchiefs are fun and knitted ones of course, are even better. They fit into your purse and can pop out easily when you need them. This one is knitted in stockinette stitch and increases on one side only. The I-Cord bind off lets you easily knot the edges to keep in place and also lend a pop of color and texture.

The size as shown is: Length 27” including I-Cord bind off, height 15.5” blocked. It can easily be make larger, you would need more yarn.

Yarn
C1 as shown here, a boucle fingering weight yarn, 120 yards.
C2 about 30 yards of Darlon, a sport weight yarn held double for the I-cord bind off.
Knit kits available at www.yarnz2go.com

Alternatively
Any fingering yarn will do, it doesn’t have to be a boucle.
If you use a single strand of worsted weight yarn instead of sport weight yarn held double, you only need 15 yards.
