This pattern fits a hand 18cm (7") around at the palm.

This pattern was instalment three in the Vintage Purls Summer Sock Yarn Club 2012. It is not currently available for public sale.

Kerr is all about texture. I love semi-solid colours in textural stitch patterns, the movement of the knitted surface combined with the subtle shifts in colour give a really rewarding product.

The cuff of Kerr is worked in double moss stitch and trimmed with i-cord, the button hole is worked as part of the i-cord edging. This is a great pattern choice to show off some special buttons. Opt for contrasting and make a statement or choose something more subtle for a polished look.

The hand is worked in linen stitch, the wrong-side texture of which is as beautiful as the right side, so we reverse it to finish the top edge of the mitts. The dense fabric is warm and wind-cheating.

Make the mitt option for Autumn wear and full mittens for when the days are very cold.
