Several months ago, the little leather piece that attached my automatic car door opener (key fob) to my key ring split apart. I dropped the key fob into my purse, where it promptly sank to the deep dark bottom, to be thought of again longingly whenever I had to get into my car.

I thought of the key fob often, but I was never motivated to dig down to the bottom of my purse for it whenever I wanted to unlock the car door. So I’d just use the car key. Once I was in the car, I’d be so anxious to get on my way that I wasn’t willing to take the time to hunt it down so I could use it once I got out of the car.

Well, after I got some beautiful purple yarn as a table gift at the Saturday night banquet at the Knit and Crochet Show / Crochet Guild of America annual conference, courtesy of Annie’s, I decided it was time to crochet a little connector so I could have my key fob attached to my key ring once again.

I’m sure you could figure out how to do this all on your own, but I thought some people might appreciate some quick and easy instructions. Just in case your key fob connector piece decides it’s had enough and decides to crumble apart on you!
