The Khloe socks were born out of a desire to play with crossed stitches. The spiraled ribbing is easily accomplished by “twisting” two stitches to create a “mini cable”. I love the way that the mini cables give dimension to an otherwise plain rib.

This pattern is meant for an adventurous novice knitter. Please read the entire pattern before beginning.

Yarn: 2 Skeins Koigu Painter’s Palette Premium Merino, 175 yards, 100% Wool, color “439219” (pictured in Black Trillium Lilt, Peach Blossom and Broken Pattern Bamboo Sock)

Needle: US 0 (2.0 mm) Hiya Hiya Steel Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) or needles to obtain gauge

Gauge: 7.5 stitches per inch (spi) and 10.5 rows per inch (rpi) OR 30 stitches & 42 rows to 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette

Size: To fit a US women’s 9 shoe, approx. 8.5” circumference and 9” foot

To alter the size: Add or subtract repeats of the pattern repeat OR adjust your gauge to increase or decrease the circumference of the foot as needed.

The socks may be mirrored or matched as the knitter desires.
