Kidney Pie is a close-fitting lace and cable cap. Stretchy ribbing branches off into a simple cable and lace motif. The cap has been designed to continue the flow of lace and cables to its top.

My grandpa had a great sense of humor and enjoyed vaudeville comedians. I’m not sure whether it was “Abbott and Costello” or “Laurel and Hardy,” but there was an act in which they were discussing intellect. One of the comedians said to the other something along the lines of, “You need to remember to use your kidneys.” Grandpa used it all the time to tell us to “be smart.” It became an inside family joke to say “use your kidneys” if we wanted to let someone know they needed to stay sharp. So here’s something to keep your “kidneys” toasty warm.
