This is the perfect layering sweater for girls or boys. In a soft baby alpaca like this, it’s delicate and fuzzy. Or try it in a rugged tweed for a totally different look. Bottom-up seamless construction makes it as easy to knit as it is to wear. And you’ll love the way the pouch pocket is worked at the same time as the sweater.

Finished measurements
Chest: 25 (27, 27, 29, 31, 32, 34) inches (63.5 68.5, 68.5, 73.5, 78.5, 81.5, 86.5 cm)

Skills needed
Knit/purl, picking up and knitting, working in the round, grafting

Construction notes
The body and sleeves are worked in the round to the underarms and then joined. The yoke is worked in the round from the underarms to the neck. The front pouch pocket is knitted at the same time as the body. Finishing is minimal: the pocket lining is sewn to the body, and the underarm stitches are grafted together.
