Here’s another easy project that teaches kiddos how to knit a cute pair of fingerless mitts. We used circular needles from the cowl class, but straight needles may also be used. (We used 16” circular size 10 Daisy knitting needles for the cowl.)
This pattern introduces kids to knitting ribbing for the cuff and fingers, with stockinette for the main part of the mitt.
Each is seamed with a space for the thumb.
Two sizes are given in the pattern.

Each pair uses only about 50 yards of yarn.
