This lis a pattern for a pair of socks that is knit from the top (cuff) down on two circular needles, with an optional 12-inch needle. The socks themselves are created using Alpine Cable stitches, so that cable knitters will love them. Alpine cables often have cables in every round, and the knit stitches in the cables are knit through the back loop. The cables add both a little warmth and durability to the socks, as well as show off your knitting prowess.

Both stitches are both written out and charted.

The directions are written for all three sizes: Small, Medium and Large (and is sized by gauge). It is recommended that you adjust yarn to any change in needle size so that they coordinate.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting, cabling and lace).

The sample was knit out of Handmaiden’s Prosecco yarn in colorway, Brook.

This pattern was expertly test knitted by Tina Rawls, who can be contacted at: trawls65@ hotmail.com
