Kindred Spirit is a nice simple shawl that unites two yarns and unites us as knitters. It is beginner friendly and yet not boring for those with more experience and gives a wonderful break between lace patterns. It can be knit as a background pattern when more complicated things are also on the needles. Consisting of garter stitch ridges and two different yarns – you choose whether to knit your Kindred Spirit using an additional colour, texture or both, accent or contrast, subtle or dramatic … Quick and simple to knit, this little shawl would make a wonderful gift for your Kindred Spirit!

Yarn: Any fingering weight yarn is suitable for this pattern - 400m (minimum) required as the main yarn together with 25g of kidsilk cobweb (used double) or Kidsilk Lace (used single) as a contrast yarn.

Finished Size (blocked):
Small - 214cm wingspan, 41cm deep at centre after decidedly thuggish blocking using just one skein of main yarn and only 10g of the kidsilk on 3.75mm needles (though I confess to being a slightly loose knitter). These measurements are guidelines and you can make this shawl smaller or larger by working fewer or extra repeats of the stitch pattern.

The shawl worked from top down, beginning at back neck and can be made to any length.
