This pattern is for the Kinsale Shawl wrap with wooden buttons - the first of my new Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection. The Shawl is thick, stretchy and waffle-like with a beautiful stitch based on Aran knitting from my native Ireland. Designed to be practical and warm, this shawl wraps around the neck and across the chest - like a capelet, the Kinsale shawl is long enough to cover shoulders to keep out that winter chill.

Beautiful, unusual stitch - looks complicated but very easy for someone used to basic knitting techniques and familiar with simple patterns.

To make the Shawl Wrap you will need -
700 yds (640 mts) DK yarn of your choice (worked with a double strand). If you prefer, you could use bulky (chunky) yarn, in which case you will need just 350 yds (320 mts).
1 x pair of US 10 knitting needles (6mm).
1 x crochet hook (for an optional crochet finish).
4 x wooden buttons approx 1” diameter (2.54cms).

All of my patterns are professionally edited and available as digital files that are available for instant download. Please allow a few minutes after payment has cleared for the download to become available.
