Kinta is a light shawlette, knit with a single skein of fingering weight yarn and featuring an easy-to-memorize eyelet mesh stitch pattern. Worked from the bottom up, Kinta is V shaped with slightly angled ends.
Yarn: 3ply/light fingering weight yarn; approx 440 yards
yarn used in sample: malabrigo sock yarn “ochre”
Needles: 3.75mm/US 5 circular needles 29”/80cm length to hold all the stitches.
Notions: Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
24 stitches and 42 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch
While gauge is not critical for this project, difference in gauge may result in varied yarn requirements and finished size measurements.
Width at centre V 10 3/4”/28cm. Ends 9”/23.5cm wide
Top edge 59”/150cm. Bottom edge: 82”/209cm
